POPULAR PHARMACY in Chile: In consideration of the high prices of medicines the Municipality of Recoleta implemented a popular non-profit pharmacy, achieving great success, although over time it was sued by the supplier laboratories for not paying delinquent bills up to 11 months. This model was copied by other municipalities, becoming popular in the more modest communes. Cenabast, the state central for the purchase and distribution of sanitary items, through Meki, an online pharmacy, has begun distributing medicines and other items at home.
